Don't tell anyone. >.>
I've been writing on and off for more than twenty years, but little of it has seen the light of day. Not without reason; most of it has been utter drivel.
I've been wanting to put up some writing on dA for sometime, but I've been concerned about plagarism. I was simply going to start posting things here in my journal, but today it dawned on me that my Scraps would do just fine.
So anyone who's interested, have a look in my scraps for the first installments of a new story just for you, my lovely watchers. *group hug*
I'm submitting them in bite-sized parts that you can read quickly and get on with your lives. As the disclaimer states, this is a very rough (i.e., ink-still-wet) draft, and there's a lot of stuff I'll be cutting out in revision. Apologies for the Mature warning. I hate to make it inaccessible to anyone, but this is an horror story set in a church. There's always the danger of offending the religious, the irreligious, or the undead (65% of U.S. vampires say that despite changing times and the reforms of Vatican II, they're still offended by crosses).
Let me know what you think, all.
***EDIT***
I came to realize that my main character didn't have any, so I've spent the past couple days finding him one. I've made a few changes to Part 1 and completely re-written Part 2. In the process, there's nothing left in the re-write to merit a Mature filter, so I took that off, too. See what you think.
For those of you who couldn't care less, sorry to spam your inboxes with this update. But hey, if it really gets annoying, you can always unwatch my journal, no?

Good thing you didn't read the crappy first drafts, anyway. If you look carefully, you'll see a sentence that was strongly influenced by the first line of your mystery.
